Player Bio

4th season of MGHA play after a 3 decade hiatus. My style of play lacks sophistication and makes up for it with good humor. "If you can't be good in bed, at least be funny" was a bumper sticker that left a lasting impression on a younger me.

Outside of hockey, I am frequently found skibumming in far-away locations, scamming the man for free accommodations, trading goods for food, waking up at dawn hung-over hiking backcountry to earn my freshies. Occasionally sought out by legal professionals curious about my non-traditional forms of activism.

Coaching Bio

In 2007 I started a small company providing stagehands for shows at the Orpheum - it was just me and some friends from the neighborhood at the end of college. Flash forward to this Summer, where we've had events with 60+ of my staff running around doing incredible things to make huge shows with A-List artists happen.

My team grew this way because our ethic is to grow skills, take everyone for who they are and to experience the JOY of opportunity knowing you can take your experience and help another.

I've applied the same mentality to my work with the Dane County Community Restorative Court, where I was a trainee in the very first class of Peacemakers back in 2015. We work with youth and young adults who have made mistakes to help them heal the damage they have created and repair the breach in trust between them and society. It's not an uncommon resolution for angry young men to be "assigned" to hike with me and talk it out.

I am also honored to be on the Board of Directors of Omega School, which has been assisting community members receive their GED/HSED at no cost, since 1974. My service with the Board is personal, as I was a high school drop out who was taken in by Omega back in 1997 and set on a path of success. I personally attend every graduation ceremony and celebrate their success with them.
