The MGHA has begun accepting players for the 2010-2011 hockey season. We officially kick off the season in early September with skills clinics designed for our new players. Games begin in mid-October.

We will accept new players that have submitted a New Player Interest Form until we have filled each available spot for next season. Click read more below for a high-level overview of our process so you know what to expect.

The Madison Gay Hockey Association is committed to making hockey accessible to all members of the LGBTQA community. The need for protective equipment and the high cost of ice time makes hockey a pursuit that carries unavoidable expenses. Thus, the MGHA has set aside some funds to assist players with financial need to cover part or all of their league fees.

Teams will be selected in a manner that is both balanced and fair. While some element of randomization will be incorporated, there will also be opportunities within the process to balance teams in a more direct manner. This will ensure a true balance between all teams and maintain a consist level of play.
