I have some exciting news players!

We have made team selections...

Here are the results of the eagerly anticipated 08-09 Season Draft!  We worked hard to keep the process fair and impartial, to balance the teams by skill level, gender ratio, and the number of new-to-the-league folks, AND to accommodate as many requests as we possibly could.  In the end--while there were few preferences we simply couldn't make work given the complexity of other factors--we were pleased how smoothly the team selection process went and believe the balance we achieved is as close to perfect as we can get without risking the wrath of the gods. 

 The schedule for team practices this Sunday is as follows:

Slot one (6:20pm): Red, Purple

Slot three (8:40pm): Yellow, White

The MGHA Board of Director's has updated the Code of Conduct.  Please familiarize yourself with it so that we can all work together to keep this a safe and enjoyable league to play in. anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted on the ice.  MGHA Members that are found to behave outside of the Code of Conduct may receive a warning from the board, be suspended for that game, be suspended for the following two games or expelled from the league.  Code of Conduct violations should be reported to your coach and/or captain who will notify the Board of Directors.  Coaches and captains may decide that a member of their team has violated the Code of Conduct and can choose to take appropriate action while a game is in progress.  The Code of Conduct is posted on the MGHA website under the Information tab and also in the Player Welcome Packet.  If you have any questions about the Code of Conduct, please speak with a member of the Board of Director's.

Following our first game on October 19th we will be socializing at the Glass nickel at 2916 Atwood Avenue. The Glass Nickel was kind enough to donate the food for our stick-taping party. We would like to take the chance to bring them some of our  business after our first game as a way to say thank-you for their support. Come out and help us celebrate the official start of the MGHA season.
