Walk/Run/Eat on October 11th

 gsa

Attention Hockey Players!

Last year we took advantage of the chance to have a social event at the GSA Walk/Run/Eat. This was a really fun and successful social event for us so, I thought I would offer it up again this season. This is a great cause and an excellent chance for us to get out eat, have some fun, and support our local GSAs.

Here is some information about the event;

The Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools (GSAFE) 2008 Walk/Run/Eat on its way – have you joined the movement yet?

On Saturday, October 11th, GSAFE will be holding their
second Walk/Run/Eat event at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center (1625 Northport Drive). Registration starts at 8:30AM and the race starts at 10:00AM.

This year, we’ve made the Walk/Run/Eat even bigger and better.
Participants will have the option of choosing between a 5K walk, a 5K run, and a 10K run. And don’t forget: After the walk/run comes the EAT. Queen Anne’s Catering will once again be donating a tasty picnic-style lunch for all participants.

This event is open to walkers and runners of all abilities, so grab your friends, your family, your co-workers and put together a team to COME OUT in support of safe schools for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT)youth and all students.

Anyone who registers before October 3rd will get $5 off their entry fee and is guaranteed to receive their preferred t-shirt size.

Sign up online now at www.firstgiving.com/gsaforsafeschools, or print a paper brochure off of the GSA for Safe Schools website
(www.gsaforsafeschools.org) and mail it in.

Contact Tim Michael at (608)661-4141 or timm@gsaforsafeschools.org if you have any questions.
