Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
The MGHA thanks Deb Brauer for the time and energy she put into MGHA over the past year. Deb has stepped down from serving on the Board of Directors and her foresight and organization will be missed. Bri Deyo, who has been with the MGHA since it started and who has served on other boards, accepted an invitation to be on the Board. Welcome, Bri!

A big thank you also goes out to Gilbert Villalpando, who oversaw the USA Hockey registration this season. No small feat!

MGHA Jock Auction
The second annual Jock Auction will take place on December 8 at the Shamrock Bar. During the auction, bidders in the audience compete for the chance to win a date with a hockey jock. The highest bidder receives a date with the jock and a gift certificate from a Madison restaurant to use for the date.

This year there's an added challenge: the MGHA teams will compete to see which one receives the highest bid. Each team -- including Team Goalie -- needs to volunteer one player to be on the auction block. Who will it be for your team?

The Jock Auction is a fundraiser for the MGHA, so tell your family and friends to come and support us. More to come soon!

Love Your GSAs
Wondering who the youngsters are selling snacks at the games? They are members of local high school Gay Straight Alliances. Make it worth their while to be at the games: buy a cookie or hot chocolate, and invite your friends at the games to do the same.

In the Box
Hey, players, why not help out in the scorer's box? No experience required; we'll train you. You'll learn to run the clock, start and stop the music, and record stats on the score sheets. Interested? Email us: news@madisongayhockey.org.

New Date for Championships
The MGHA Championships will take place on March 2, 2008 (previously scheduled for Feb. 24, 2008). This extends our season by one week.
