About the MGHA
The Madison Gay Hockey Association is the place to learn to skate, play hockey, and have fun! We are a nonprofit, co-ed hockey league for the LGBTQA community.
Started in 2006 by member Patrick Farabaugh, we have been going strong since. With 120 members of all skill levels, MGHA works to provide a safe and fun hockey experience.
We love our fans, so come on out and catch a game...it's free and fun!
- Game day/time: Sunday, 5:10pm, 6:20pm, 7:30pm and 8:40pm
- Ice rink: Hartmeyer Ice Arena
"Hockey has the aura of being a hyper-masculine sport with no place for women or gay men. I like that they [Madison Gay Hockey Association] are breaking down that wall by saying, 'You have a place with us. You have a place in hockey.'"
- Ted Rybka, Director of Sports Media for GLAAD
